I have always shown an affinity for things design i.e. understanding function and aesthetics, as well as how and why things works well together. Oftentimes, I would adapt things to work differently because I like to experiment for better results, and to see what elements would work best together for a user. To begin with, I didn’t understand what all of this meant for me as a child, and so it drove me into beginning an undergraduate degree in Engineering, and completing a Masters Degree in Computing & IT. Thereafter, I found web design and it has been the best of both worlds for me. This point began my journey as a web developer, as I went into corporate employment as a Front-End Web Designer. After having a family, it became difficult to manage growing both my family and professional life to the best that I could - which has always being my standard. I felt literally devastated that I had to give up employment. In hind sight, it was the flip side to have a new door opened for me to embrace a lifelong yearning for business. I was actively seeking opportunities back into web design when I found Blam my most memorable experience at Blam is more than one really. If I had to mention just one, and only for brevity, it will be when we met up for partner training at the Headquarters. I networked with other partners and appreciated being treated to drinks with Gareth and Grant. This was nice as we all got to wind down and bond and it showed ‘these people’ truly cared. So far, it has been a journey, and I can see myself transforming as a person. Fundamentally, I am learning to self-examine and grow, personally and as a business. I unreservedly can say I am enjoying the process. and cannot wait to hit my business goals for the new year and years to come. I have a goal to look forward to and I am able to pursue my dreams. I find myself working away at my business that I need to remind myself to get some food and sleep! I enjoy the passion and fulfilment I get from my business. Blam Is my best kept secret.

I joined the Blam partnership programme in March 2018, I was encouraged to be my own boss and manage a business successfully. I have received a great understanding of digital marketing and reached many potential clients over the weeks. I like the commitment and direction of the leadership and the support provided to all partners from Blam But what I enjoyed the most are the courses that were available for free from Blam And also the mentoring mindset. The most memorable experience I have had from Blam so far is when I had a few meetings with Gareth, I was able to identify my niche market and be excited about it. Up to this point, I have received a great understanding and knowledge in digital marketing. This is a great partnership that truly cares about your success and walks with you to achieve your goals.  

I decided to join the Blam Partnership programme as I was thinking about leaving my job and setting up my own marketing business, but I lacked any technical ability in building websites. I had enrolled on a course to learn code when I came across Blam It was a complete no brainer for me because Blam provided the skillset I lacked. I get compliments about my website and the ones I've built. I've been slow at building my business but feel like things are moving forward now and I have the infrastructure in place with Blam on my side.

What I enjoy about Blam Is being part of a team! This makes me feel more confident rather than being on my own.  I get great support from Gareth in terms of strategy as well as the day to day support from Rosie. Blam allows me to offer top quality websites and apps at freelance prices, which makes me more competitive. It gives my clients peace of mind that if something happened to me/my business, their website is still safe (unlike with other small agencies/freelance). The most memorable experience I have received from Blam So far is my meeting with Gareth! He makes me feel more positive and motivated. I am currently living my dream - Working for myself, organise my work/life balance to suit me, and feel free that I can do whatever I want. The world's my oyster! If I was to recommend the Blam Partnership programme to a friend I would advise - Don't think about it, just do it. It'll be the best decision you've ever made.
