3 SIMPLE Techniques

Lead generation is something that concerns the majority of new entrepreneurs I come across as they are usually very eager to discover new ways to attract prospective customers . Whenever I suggest cold calling, however, most of them tend to avoid it as they find it quite uncomfortable.

Even though in our day and age there are multiple digital methods to contact people, good old cold calling remains one of the most valuable tools. Nevertheless, since I know it doesn’t come naturally to the most of us, I am going to share with you a couple of proven techniques that have helped me over the years .

  • The upfront contract . As soon as you are certain that you are speaking with the decision maker, tell them in a friendly manner than you only need 30 seconds of their time to talk about something very important that can help them. As I thoroughly explain in this video , the usual answer to that is yes. Then take that little window of opportunity to briefly explain your offering while making sure you throw in all the hooks that are going to make them excited to know more.
  • Use tonality to engage the listener . Another great technique based in psychology is to make an assumption with your tone that the prospect you are speaking to on the phone already knows you. If people think they know you, they are much less likely to cut you off and be rude to you and more likely to engage in conversation.

Most importantly, when you find a system that works for you, make sure that you stick to it . I can guarantee that with perseverance, dedication, and persistence in following a certain pattern every single time you cold call someone, you will eventually start getting better at it by being able to spot your own errors and refine your technique. That’s when the results will start coming and you will feel much better doing it!
