Should you make money during lockdown?

Is selling now unethical?

Recently I received an email questioning "should Blam be selling so pro-actively during this lockdown period". Is this a good question? My immediate reaction was one of shock that anyone with even an ounce of entrepreneurial intent would even ask! Then, I took a step back and looked at the question from a few different angles.

Should any of us be selling pro-actively to people during the crisis? Well this all comes down to what we are selling. The truth is that if you have faith that your product or service will truly help the people that buy from you, then surely it’s your obligation to make that exchange. Meaning, providing a beneficial product or service in exchange for a fair price.

"should Blam be selling so pro-actively
during this lockdown period".

The problem comes when you don’t believe in your business model wholeheartedly. If you have a product or service that doesn’t work or isn’t great value, then you have an ethical problem. More specifically you have a fundamental business problem! It is absolutely essential that YOU believe in your business enough to want to make that fair exchange knowing both parties benefit from the trade, ie you get the money and they get the product or service.

Here in lies the problem.
How many people, work for a business
where they don’t truly believe in their product or service?
I think it’s a lot…

If you approach selling with a mindset that you are taking people’s money from them for little benefit to them then your attitude towards selling in this crisis will be even more challenged. How you justify your sales process in a the “normal” environment may now be a major problem when prospects are faced with such uncertainty.

The solution to all this is pretty obvious isn’t it?

Make sure you are in love with your product and service because you know how much benefit your prospects once they purchase from you. If you can't say that, then I'd reconsider your business model and fast!

So the reason I felt so shocked by the question is because I KNOW that every time I sell one of my products, be it a partnership programme, an app or a AI website, the prospect is getting a great deal. I am confident that they will happy with the exchange even after they have handed over their money which encourages me to be extremely pro-active during the sales process. This gives me comfort.

I can understand though, how people who don’t believe in their product being a valued investment would retract in this environment as their conscious gets the better of them.

So, when I unashamedly say to you, book a call with Ed our awesome Int. Sales Director who is sooooo passionate about our products and services he will bend over backwards to help our prospects make the right decision for them, I am totally okay with it!

Because, whether our prospects want a Blam Partnership Programme reselling Blam websites and apps, or want to work with us to help their business become successful online, we WILL try hard to sell to them.

It's our moral obligation and we KNOW they’ll be glad we did!
