Should I Be Confident About My Future?

Let's make 2021 awesome!

As I write this we are about to undergo the rollout of the long awaited Covid 19 vaccine. When it was first announced that we had a vaccine that was 90% effective, the stock market took a huge leap up and there was palpable sigh of relief the world over.   2020 has been an extraordinary year , and regardless of your personal opinion on vaccines or Covid in general, the fact remains that this is an enormous step in the right direction of bringing our economies back on track.   "And so, we find ourselves in a unique position,
and one we all need to be aware of."

Never before has there been a situation quite like this and the only comparison I can think of that’s anywhere near similar is the end of the Second World War.   The entrepreneurial boom that happened after the Second World War, despite the fact that most economies in the world were effectively bankrupt, was driven by the confidence of building something sustainable after the years of wartime misery.   I see a similar boom on the horizon as the frustrations of 2020 are unleashed on the economic landscape and entrepreneurs leverage their newfound understanding that digital technology can save them time and money and supercharge their business success too.
So as I sit here planning our Blam strategy to help as many small business owners around the globe as we can achieve these ambitions, I am excited and confident that 2021 will be an incredible year for digital marketers that are willing to look forward with optimism. I also can’t wait to help those entrepreneur start ups that will change the world with their innovation, enthusiasm and determination to succeed, one of the great pleasures of the industry I work in.   However, the world’s confidence is a fragile thing , and I for one feel a responsibility to pass on this message of hope and reassurance for the future. Let’s help each other see the opportunities ahead and embrace them now! People spend money when they are confident, they take risks when they feel this way and that’s what makes the wheels of business turn.   We all know, there are plenty of doomsayers who are willing to let fear rule and spout out the negative stats and facts. I hope, like me, you can see that negativity can be a self fulfilling prophecy if we let it dominate, so let’s take this news of the vaccine and use it to supercharge our confidence and let’s make success happen!
