“ Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.
” -- Jim Rohn
Being self-disciplined is one of the most important traits of being an entrepreneur. Especially for those of you who are just starting out in business, discipline really is the key to accomplishing your goals and bringing results to your new endeavour.
I’m sure that since you’ve taken the decision to start a business, you are working hard for it, but just think for a moment -- are you choosing to do the things that are most productive?
Blame our human nature, but most of us tend to avoid doing things that seem hard or are out of our comfort zone.
One great example of that is cold calling. Most people avoid cold calling because of their fear of rejection, even though they know that it is one of the best proven methods to generate leads for a startup business.
If there are things in your business you think you should be doing but instead, you end up putting on the back burner, just know that it is never too late to start practising self-discipline. Simply start by making small commitments to yourself
and sticking to them, just like I explain in this video.
Promise yourself that you are going to do it and keep your word
. Personally, I prefer adding each commitment to my calendar along with a designated time slot so that they become part of my daily schedule. This way, I am much more likely to stay on track.
I’m sure that if you follow my advice, you are more than likely to succeed!
P.S. If you have any questions about how I maintain my discipline, don’t hesitate to get in touch on our social media.
