Do You Have A Promotional Strategy?

Black Friday was only a few days ago and it’s got me thinking about promotional strategies and the fact that so many businesses actually haven’t got one in place...

I know that when we first get started in business we get caught up with so many different things that we often neglect to put a proper promotional strategy in place. Instead, we end up running campaigns on an ad-hoc basis which, in most cases, doesn’t get us the expected results.

Having a strategy in place for at least 6 months in advance is very important. A pre-planned strategy provides a clear direction for your whole business. All your marketing efforts, both digital and traditional, can focus on the same goals and your whole team can be on the same page.

If you’re uncertain of the kind of campaigns you could pre-schedule, just think of all the events and seasonal activities that are around us. Take advantage of holidays such as Christmas, Easter, New Year’s, Valentines, and so on, and build promotional campaigns around those events.

Being noisy during key occasions throughout the year is what’s going to spark your prospects’ interest and really make them notice you. For us, Black Friday is our top promotional activity of the year, just as I explain in this video .

As a matter of fact, now is the perfect time of year to start planning your promotional strategy for 2019. Give it a try and I’m sure you’ll see some amazing results!
