Are you one of those people who hate cold calling? Don’t worry if the answer is ‘yes’ - in fact, about 90% of us hate it also.

The reason most commonly being the fear of rejection, fear of failure, and worrying about the outcome. What happens next, in most cases, is that we end up procrastinating by putting cold calling off indefinitely.

However, I’ve been doing this for years and I know for a fact that cold calling is one of the most successful and efficient ways to generate sales within your business.

So today I thought I’d share with you my own proven method of making cold calls. Hopefully, this will help you feel more confident and allow you to generate appointments for your business with ease.

  1. The hook point . Our number one priority when starting a cold call is to grab the prospect’s attention. This needs to happen within the first couple of seconds. Starting to pitch right away is wrong as the prospect will see that as another sales call. There are many ways in which you can grab their attention, just as I explain in this video .
  2. Create Value . After you’ve grabbed the prospect’s attention, prepare to give them something of real value. Offer them something that is a complete no-brainer. In my business, for example, we offer free marketing audits which works perfectly by getting us the desired appointments.
  3. Create Scarcity . Make the prospect understand that your time is limited and that you only have a few spaces available for an appointment. It is very important that they perceive you as a busy professional because then they are less likely to waste your time by not showing up to a scheduled appointment.

Hope that helps!
