Website Architecture & SSL

What is SSL?

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, and puts the ‘ S (which stands for secure )’ in ‘ HTTPS .’ SSL encrypts data being transferred over a server so that it will be protected, particularly as it travels from sender to recipient. Any time you send information through an HTTPS site, its server will issue a certificate and use it to verify that the recipient is legit (authentication), encode your information so that it’s readable only to the recipient (encryption), and send it to the recipient, who will have to use a key to ‘unlock’ and read your information. Any information you send is viewable on every computer that passes it along to the recipient. Encryption prevents your information from being compromised or stolen along the way.

How do we use SSL?

Our system was the first web design platform for small businesses and agencies to sponsor and integrate with Let’s Encrypt(an automated and open certificate authority) to offer free SSL encryption to every paid responsive website on our platform. We simply believe that your customers have the right to have their data protected –– without any added expenses or hassles. We’ve proudly partnered with Let’s Encrypt since 2016 and will continue to provide our customers with quick, easy one-click SSL installation and auto-renewing certificates.

Secure Reliable Hosting

All BLAM! websites are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the industry’s most trusted and secure cloud-based solutions. There is no limit to bandwidth or storage.

Are we GDPR compliant?

Everything you need to make your sites GDPR compliant is already in the platform. This includes a privacy policy template, customizable cookie notification, form response page and more.

Every website comes with a privacy page template that can be used as a guide for explaining to site visitors how collected information is being used. Simply activate the template and customize
